Potomac German Auto Case Study

Challenge: Potomac German Auto (PG Auto), one of the largest Mercedes Salvage Companies on the east coast, needed a secure e-commerce web site where they could sell automobile parts online

Solution: Partnering with a design firm Vansam developed and hosts Potomac German Auto’s e-commerce system. Vansam setup an online shopping cart that processes credit cards in real time, has “1 click” ordering, and browser based content management. PG Auto can now sell products 24hours a day, seven days a week. Repeat customers can order easily without having to reenter their information and PG Auto can edit the product information in the shopping cart through our content management tool without having to edit the HTML.

Customer Benefits: Potomac German Auto can now sell online 24 hours a day/seven days a week and collect orders without any human effort on their part. Increased sales and decreased cost of sale for online orders.

Technologies used: All custom software developed by Vansam with use of pre-existing code. RedHat Linux operating system, MySQL Database, PHP development language, authorize.net for credit card processing.
