IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rockville, MD - October 22, 2005 - Vansam announced today that Jim Haner, author of SoccerHead has contracted Vansam to build the website supporting the April 2006 release of his book. The site will be completed by the new year and will have pictures of Jim's teams and details of the author, along with a web log and a link to purchase the book from Overstock.com. The site is soccerheadbook.com

About Jim Haner
Jim Haner is an investigative reporter for the Baltimore Sun. Over the course of a 20-year career in journalism, his work has also appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Miami Herald, the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot, the Bergen Record and Reader’s Digest, among other publications.

He is a three-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and member of the Miami Herald team that won the 1993 Pulitzer Public Service Medal for coverage of
Hurricane Andrew and its aftermath. Haner’s work has also been recognized for numerous national journalism awards -- including the Freedom Forum, Enterprise Foundation, Times-Mirror and Scripps-Howard public service awards, as well as the 1998 Investigative Reporters and Editors’ Tom Renner Award for Reporting on Organized Crime for his series, “Dirty Money” (co-authored with reporter Tom Zambito of the Bergen Record).

Jim Haner is married to Donna St. George of the Washington Post. The couple have two sons, Ben and Sam, and one very fat cat, Buster, whom they rescued as a kitten after Hurricane Andrew. They live and play soccer outside Washington, DC., where the author has coached more than 300 kids in leagues, camps and clinics since the year 2000.

Soccerhead is his first book.
